Suzhou, China - The new UBC Suzhou facility has received contract to supply the tapered roller bearings anddeep groove ball bearings for wind turbine pitch and yaw geardrives. The geardrive maker – located Sichuan province, is china top geardrive maker, and its geardrives go to supply most of the wind turbine makers. The initial supply award amounted to over 35 million RMB ( = six million USD ). It is specially exciting for UBC to receive this piece of good news at the beginning of the new year of the dragon.

The bearing steel material used for geardrive bearings is the type specified for the wind turbine bearing application - 20-year fatigue life. The heat treatment facility for UBC Suzhou is the most respected name in heat treatment industry. The production machineries and measuring instruments are capable to meet P4/sp tolerance specifications. The UBC Suzhou Plant is among the most modern bearing plant in Asia, The plant started batch production on Feb. 1, 2012. Located in Changsu District,Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The Plant is 8000 M². With Initial production capacity of 42,000 pcs per month in roller bearings, and 30,000 pcs per month in precision ball bearings. When fully completed in 2013, UBC Suzhou will cover 25,000 M², which will include a world class R&D center.
